Pros/Cons
Margarite has one of the highest Attack stats in the game and combined with her ability, Null Gravity Barrier, it's pretty easy to deal consistent damage throughout the game. Her One-Way Laser XL also has a high base damage of 24225 when in both Evolved and Ascended forms. The most interesting aspect about Margarite is that she has a unique Strike Shot which reveals more weak points on the enemy. This Strike Shot synergizes well with any team because of how much more damage you'll be able to deal.
Unlike Arthur, who has a Anti-Damage Wall ability, Margarite cannot purposefully hit the Gravity Barrier to position herself for a Bump Combo. Margarite's Strike Shot itself does not deal a lot of damage because it is mostly used for utility. Therefore you have to be smart and decisive about when to use it in order to deal the maximum amount of damage.
Summary
Overall, Margarite has high base stats in HP and Attack and her Strike Shot is very unique, which if used right could take down a high level boss relatively easily. Both the evolved and ascended forms of Margarite are very good and are equal in rankings. The evolved form has around 3000 more Attack and the ascended form gains around 20 more Speed. It is up to the users personal preference on which one to use.
